One thing that was important to us as parents was to make sure Evan had a happy childhood. I wanted so much for him to experience as much peace and calm as possible— so he could grow without anxiety. As a result— Evan was the happiest of children. He was always so joyous and positive. He was rarely moody or disagreeable. This painting is from being on the top of a ferris wheel ride. He’s hanging on for dear life and enjoying every moment of the experience. It’s a full representation of the joy and exuberance he expressed.
