Evan was not one for physical labor— he enjoyed the mental challenge instead. However this particular summer during college— Evan worked for his father’s company as a day laborer. He learned about tools, construction, and all the hard work that goes into a building. It was quite a maturing aspect for growth. He came to my studio one day after work— all disheveled, dirty, tired, and spent. His jeans and shirt covered in dirt… but still happy. I had to record this moment.
